Robin Kelly

The incumbent state treasurer, Alexi Giannoulias, is hoping to move up to the United States Senate. His chief of staff, Robin Kelly, is running for state treasurer against Justin Oberman, an aviation security consultant.

Kelly would use the treasurer’s office to promote programs that bring job opportunities to Illinois, expand citizens’ financial literacy and acumen, increase programs that provide ways for families to save for college, and wisely invest Illinois tax dollars.

A former state representative, she has more than 140 endorsements from unions, civic organizations, and community leaders. Her experience trumps Oberman’s, and we feel she would make a better state treasurer. Robin Kelly gets our endorsement in the Democratic primary.
