Website can help you ‘stay great’
July 2, 2010The Rev. Mark S. Link, S.J., a Roman Catholic Jesuit priest formerly of Saint Ignatius College Prep, has established a website, www.staygreat.com, “for seekers, drifters, and believers,” the site says.
Material on the site includes a homily for the current day and one for the next day; one of the 150 Psalms; and meditations from the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Also available is information about breakthroughs in understanding oneself and life, gifts of the Holy Spirit, and God’s presence in today’s world.
“I wanted a name that was positive,” Fr. Link explained. “I was called to our curia—our international headquarters—along with Jesuits from South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe for a project, ‘How do you evangelize in a postmodern world?’ That’s when it occurred to me that if St. Paul were alive today he would be on the Internet.
“We average about 10,000 hits per day from over 80 countries in the course of a week,” he noted. Fr. Link now works at the Colombiere Center in Clarkston, MI, a Jesuit retreat facility.
