Rush begins entranceway construction
December 3, 2010

Work has begun on a three-story entrance linking Rush University Medical Center’s new building under construction with existing hospital facilities.

The Edward A. Brennan Entry Pavilion, located on west Harrison Street, will create a new front door to Rush’s hospital facilities as part of the institution’s campus renovation project. The entry will connect the new building on the east (which opens in 2012) with the existing Atrium building to the west. The entry will enable access to all inpatient areas and most surgical sections and will provide comfortable seating, a central reception area, a café, a four-season terrarium, and circular skylights. The facility is named for Edward A. Brennan, who chaired of Rush’s board of trustees for nearly ten years until his death in 2007.
