CTA to hold public meetings on Ashland BRT

Community residents and business owners will have the opportunity to comment on the CTA’s proposed BRT at two meetings in December.

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) has announced two public meetings on its environmental assessment for the proposed Bus Rapid Transit on Ashland Avenue, to be held Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benito Juarez Community Academy, 1450 W. Cermak Rd., and Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pulaski Park Field House, 1419 W. Blackhawk St.

The hearings will allow public input on the project’s next phase. The complete environmental assessment will be available for public review at these meetings. Residents also may review the assessment at the CTA office at 567 W. Lake St.; online at www.transitchicago.com/ashlandbrt; at these Chicago Public Library locations: Lincoln Belmont, West Town, Pilsen, and West Englewood; and at the Harold Washington Library Center.
