INSURANCE

Allstate Insurance — Hilda Thompson Agency, 1512 S. Wabash Ave., (312) 435-2200, hildathompson@allstate.com.

Hilda Thompson’s Allstate Insurance agency’s specialty is the condominium market. Condominium insurance differs from single family property coverage, said Thompson. The management company of condominium buildings provides insurance coverage for the common areas such as hallways, laundry rooms, the building’s exterior, and equipment providing building-wide utilities. However, the condominiums’ interior walls, floor, cabinetry, large appliances, as well as personal possessions such as furniture, artwork, family heirlooms, jewelry, etc., must be covered by the owner/resident. In addition, many management companies of condominium buildings require proof of insurance by anyone purchasing a condominium unit or units.

In addition to condominium insurance, Thompson through Allstate also offers a full-spectrum of insurance products including auto, home, rental, business, and life insurance.  Allstate has been dedicated to protecting customers from life’s uncertainties and preparing them for the future for more than 85 years.

As an Allstate agent for more than 30 years, “I choose to represent the Allstate Insurance Company because they believe in being ‘good hands,’ living and working in the communities they serve,” said Thompson.

Her website, Allstate.com/HildaThompson, “can help you learn more about the company,” she added. The agency hours are Mon. through Fri. 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sat. by appointment.

The Coldwell Banker brand is the oldest and most established residential real estate franchise system in North America. The Coldwell Banker network is continuously recognized for its innovation and leadership across 3,000 offices in 49 countries and territories.

Corcoran is an experienced real estate agent. Telling the difference between a buyer’s market and a seller’s market is crucial, said Corcoran. One important thing to remember about the property market is that it’s always in a state of change, she added, noting that sometimes the market is favorable to buyers, and other times it is favorable to sellers. A knowledgeable agent can guide clients in the sale or purchase of a person’s or family’s next home, no matter what type of market they are facing. Finding the right agent for your purchase or sale of a home, condominium, or townhouse makes an enormous difference, Corcoran noted.
