St. John Cantius completes organ fundraising

A donor who wishes to remain anonymous has contributed more than $45,000 to endow the St. John Cantius Organ Fund fully. The fund fell just shy of its overall goal of $2 million last year; that figure included the amount spent to acquire, restore, and install one of the largest organs in Chicago after rescuing it from its spot under a leaky roof in an unused church. The “new” organ culminates a 25-year restoration of St. John Cantius.
